How to tell the real nerds from the posers

• Have you ever been so starved for educational stimulation that you consider reading the old textbooks that you only skimmed through (at best) during your classes?
  
• Have you ever kept textbooks from a class you didn't take?
  
• Have you ever purchased textbooks for a class you had no intention of taking just because they looked interesting?
• Have you ever begged your husband to hold onto textbooks for a class he didn't end up taking because they might be considered research for a future thesis?
• Have you ever been giddy with excitement after tracking down the complete (and old) edition of a textbook anthology you only had one section of at a used book sale?

Yeah (*cough, cough*), me neither . . . Okay, guilty of all 5. But then, I've always professed to be a nerd . . .
